Have you ever had a short, but negative interaction bother you for days and ended up feeling stuck in your emotions?
A negative energy, fueled by anger, sadness, empathy, or frustration can reach a pressure point until you finally explode like a volcano!
I had a week like this last month. It wasn’t my life in chaos, but I felt like everyone around me was going through a really hard time one way or another and there was nothing I could do to make any of it better. I was walking around with my eyebrows feeling like they were joining with my eyelids. Haha!
I started to feel annoyed with myself and knew I needed a reset. It can be hard for us to recognize our emotions sometimes. It is so much easier to suppress those yucky feelings than to acknowledge, feel & process them.
Luckily I had annoyed myself enough and was sick of my body aching from tension I decided to work through a “feelings” protocol with my oils before I erupted!

I usually wait for everyone to be asleep, this way I can ensure I get some quiet time.
I always start by rubbing 2-4 drops of valor in the palms of my hands, cupping them over my nose & mouth, taking some nice deep breaths. I take my time with this first step and don’t move to the next until I’m feeling focused and relaxed. Most of the time it takes me about 30-60 seconds. Then I rub the rest of the oil on the soles of my feet, giving myself a light foot massage! Taking these few minutes to melt away and pull (drag) myself out of the crazy place my mind had wandered off to.
Harmony is my happy oil! She comes everywhere with me, bringing a little scent of happiness with each breath.
I rub 1-2 drops in my hands and take a deep breath, letting it out slowly. I then apply this all over! Neck, shoulders, over my heart, lower back, forehead, temples.
Always take your time with each step and enjoy the moment and the aroma of each oil.
Time to RELEASE!!!!!!!
This is an important step in getting rid of all that anger and negativity. Anger is said to be stored in the liver, this calls for a cleanse!
Drop 1-2 drops of Release in your hands, again take some deep breaths and begin to lightly massage in a circular motion around the front and back of your liver.
Try to recognize whatever emotions you are feeling and as Elsa (and every child) sings “Let it go, Let it go”
Take a few minutes after this to relax and let your mind wander. You will feel the tension in your head start to disappear, melting away with all of your worries, that is a great feeling!
Some would say I don’t need this oil, but I can still get caught up in grown-up land neeing a little reminder sometimes that life is not all work, responsibilities & rules!

Put 1-2 drops in your palms, thinking about happy memories, take 4-5 deep breaths I also like to massage this onto my wrists after.

It’s time to grow up again, just a little and start to Forgive.
Whether it’s forgiving yourself for not playing with your child because you’ve had a busy day (I get mum guilt) or forgiving that rude customer who managed to ruin your day in a split second.
Take the time to process and forgive. This is such a freeing moment for you. Forgiveness is a powerful, it can help you push through those boundaries in life & talk you off the ledge!
You guessed it! Put 1-2 drops in the palms of your hands, deep, deep, deep breaths and run your hands in a small motion around your belly button.
Now is the time to step forward and embrace your moment. We must live in the moment in order to heal.
Apply 2-4 drops of Present Time in that palms of your hands and yes, you got it, take those deep breaths! Run your hands gently around the backs of your ears, the front of your neck down to the collar bone. Keep breathing in the aroma of this one reflecting on all the amazing things you have going on in your life right now!
- Finish this off with a couple more drops of valor on your feet.
- Have a nice big stretch and get cozied up for the evening
